Hi! My name is Blake Hourigan and I am a Computer Science and Engineering student at the University of Louisville. I am currently set to graduate in May 2025, with a primary interest in embedded programming. I have completed all required coursework for my degree program, and am currently taking time to hone my programming skills. I have recently completed an interactive read of The Rust Programming Language by Steve Klabnik and Carol Nichols, and am working on various projects to improve my knowledge and understanding of the language.

You can find a list of these projects along with details and images on my website's projects page or on my github repositories page.

Here I worked as a Laboratory Engineer Co-Op student at Dr. Chad Samuelsen's Research Laboratory. I built a new lab experiment rig to test lab rats olfactory senses in novel ways.

This experience involved utilizing Python programming skills to create a GUI control application, PCB design, and 3D modelling skills.
